Privacy

The short version: this game collects nothing, sends nothing, and needs nothing from you. Here is exactly what that means.

No accounts. No sign-in. No email address. No advertising. No purchases. No analytics. No cookies. No tracking of any kind.

We do not collect personal information from anyone, of any age. There is no server that could receive it.

What is stored, and where

Everything the game remembers is kept in your own browser, on your own device, using a standard browser feature called local storage. Specifically:

None of it is transmitted anywhere. It never reaches us, because there is nowhere for it to go. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it, and so does For grown-ups โ†’ Erase everything inside the game.

The game also stores itself

So it works without a connection โ€” in a car, or on patchy school wi-fi โ€” the game saves a copy of its own files and music in your browser's cache. That is program files, not information about you.

How this is enforced, not just promised

The page is served with a Content Security Policy that permits network connections only back to this site. A browser will refuse any attempt to contact a third party, including one made by mistake. There are no third-party scripts, fonts, trackers or embeds โ€” the 3D library the game uses is served from this site rather than from someone else's.

Spoken words

The game reads facts and prompts aloud so children who cannot read yet can play. It does this with your browser's own speech feature, and it asks for an on-device voice.

One honest caveat: some browsers offer voices that work by sending the text to the browser maker's servers. We deliberately prefer a device-based voice where one exists, but we cannot control what voices a given browser provides. You can now settle it yourself: in For grown-ups โ†’ Display there is a switch called Only use a voice on this device. Turn it on and the game will stay silent rather than use a voice that synthesises over the network โ€” on a browser with no built-in voice that means no spoken facts, which is why it is your choice and not our default. The words spoken are short game phrases โ€” and the name you give your horse. If that matters to you, turning Spoken facts to zero in the sound settings stops it entirely; the words still appear on screen.

Children

This game is made for young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because we do not collect personal information at all. No account is required, no name or age is requested, and nothing a child types leaves their device through anything the game does.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests needed to deliver the page and may keep operational logs, including IP addresses, under its own policies. We do not add any analytics to that and we do not receive or review those logs.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it. Any change that would weaken the commitments above would be a different product, and would be said plainly rather than buried here.
